I am having the same problem and agree with Rachel Wilson this just started a week or so ago. So in order to turn off Family Safe on my daughters account can someone refresh my memory on what that requires and is it easy to do?
I am trying to take off family safety but can't stay logged into the account long enough to figure out how. How do I take it off?
AVG are unable to solve this problem - It looks to me like an in issue between AVG, family safety and whatever changed in the Windows update. I have been searching for a fix and, having come across this thread today, I have changed the account settings to disable family safety. The account now logs in without the crash. However, it is no longer a Family safety profile. I have logged this with AVG support and am still getting the run around because they fail to identify the problem
I am seeing this on Surface Pro 3. Is there a fix for it? I just install the AVG today.
Is removing the family safety feature a fix or a workaround?
So to clarify
Either have no Family Safety
or
No AVG
& you are WAITING for Microsoft to fix
Hi Gordon,
You can refer to following Microsoft article: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/family-safety-remove-uninstall-faq .
Thanks
get this error on blue screen immediately after logging into my daughters user account, tried several things and eventually fixed by turning off family safety. I turned back on family safety and the problem immediately came back. this has only been happening in the last few days, both windows and avg updated that same day. Ran AVG Disk Doctor and no problems were found. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi David,
Yes, unfortunatelly you can have only AVG without firewall with Microsoft Family Safety. According to latest information from Microsoft fix to this issue should be in Windows 10.
Thanks
Hi all,
Unfortunately it is known issue for help please uninstall AVG Firewall component.

Hi Dan,
It should be jus woraround, but it doesn't seems like Microsoft is going to fix it soon.
