"Unfortunately, anti virus has stopped working" message every 10 seconds

Today I keep getting the message "unfortunately, anti virus has stopped working". The message is appearing every 10 seconds so I can't use my phone. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but the error starts again. I have a yearly subscription for AVG and would like to resolve the matter quickly please! I'm using a samsung galaxy note 3 so appreciate not the newest of phones but this app should still work correctly!

Tanya, Use your hand to swipe across the Note 3â€ēs screen to take a screenshot. This is one of the oldest ways you can take a screenshot on android devices. Hold down the home button and power button simultaneously. For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
