Please follow the below steps to remove AVG Anti Virus for Mac :
To uninstall AVG 15 -
Open Finder > Applications > right click on AVG AntiVirus.app > select Show package contents > open Contents folder > double click on Uninstaller.app.

To Uninstall AVG 17
Run uninstallation from /Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/components/uninstall/com.avg.uninstall.app

I wish to uninstall AVG from my Mac.  I already have the free version of AVG installed, but when I double-click the application in the Application folder, nothing happens.  

Reading on the web, it says, to go into the AVG application, and press uninstall. If I cannot go into the application, how can I uninstall it.

Also what is the version nu,her of the latest AVG for Mac (free version)

I contacted AVG and they made me buy the multi device software, for £49.99 which I don't really need.
