Uninstall avg tuneup failure

i have just bought a new  copy of avg tuneup. i cannot install this because there are copies on old avg tuneup programmes on my windows xp.  uninstall fails both through the cotroll pannel and through my new programme. how can i uninstall my old copy of avg tuneup?

We're afraid as AVG TuneUp cannot be used on Windows XP.
