I understand your concern with this uninstallation. Please be informed that the password that may be prompting must be your computer password. Enter your computer password and check if you are able to continue with the uninstallation. I also like to inform that if you have only mac computer, then you do not have to purchase a paid subscription, as the AVG for Mac is always free.
I have a free copy of AVG which I installed on my MacAir some time ago. I have, today, purchased a full copy of the internet protection product online but cannot install until I delete the existing copy. I found an earlier thread on the subject from Jan 2017 which was helpful however yesterday complete the uninstall I need a password. To the best of my knowledge I have never had to register the product of setup a password. The unistaller won’t allow me to continue without a password. Appreciate help on how to solve problem.
