Uninstall of Anti virus

I mistakenly dragged AVG Anti virus to Trash in trying to uninstall so I could redownload new application. How can I uninstall now not having the icon showing? This is on a Mac Mini. My subscription has been renewed but when I try to install, the message I get is that Antivirus is already installed and to uninstall .Help please.Thank you

We are here to help.

1) Open Finder
2) In menu bar select GO > GO TO FOLDER
3) Type: /Library/Application Support/
4) Locate and delete AVGAntivirus folder manually (Restart your mac) and then reinstall should work
