In this regard, we'd suggest you to perform a clean installation by following the below steps & let us know if it helps :
- Uninstall AVG from your MAC , if you've completed the installation process.
- Open Finder
- In menu bar select Go > Go to Folder...
- Type /Library/Application Support/ and hit the enter key
- Locate and delete AVGAntivirus folder
- Reboot computer and AVG should be removed
- Download the setup file by visiting this link. Upon visiting the link, ensure that the locality isn't selected to any other region apart from worldwide or US. (You can check this with the flag icon displayed at top right corner in the above link - beside login to AVG account).

Hi. I tried to uninstall AVG on my Mac and reinstall, but I get a notification that it is already installed. I had dragged it to the Trash but obviously, some part of it remains. I found this in Spotlight, but I'm hesitant to go into that folder. Any ideas?
