I suggest you to try removing AVG traces using remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After running AVG Remover, you may need to manually uninstall/delete any remaining AVG applications from 'Control panel' and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then I request you to install your AVG program from http://www.avg.com/us-en/download .Please follow these instructions and let us know the status. Thank you.
I had a PC freeze that led to a hard boot. AVG's files were somehow corrupted afterwards, as it asked me to input my license code. It hadn't dont that before. Now I cannot uninstall AVG to reinstall it. I get the following error everytime I try to remove the program.
Error code: 0xE001003E
Description: Event exec_finished
The same error occurs when I try to repair the install, but with a different number.
Error code: 0xE0010406
Description: Event exec_finished
