I'll be uninstalling this crap, too. I've been using AVG for so long, I don't even remember when I first installed it but today is the last day it will be installed. Just so you know, this has been coming for the last couple years but I've overlooked a lot of things because AVG was reliable and lightweight. Don't bother sending me "instructions" on how to get a hold of someone that's going to try to convince me to reinstall…not until you trim the fat off this hog.

Just wanted to let you guys know that after 2 years I have finally uninstalled AVG and started using Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. In the last 2 years I have spent way, Way, WAY more time working on AVG than I have any viruses. In fact AVG has yet to catch a single virus or malware. The last straw came when after a resent spat of "AVG Emergency Updates" AVG refused to start because another antivirus (AVG Protection) was installed. That's right, it couldn't start because it was installed!!! Keep in mind that I did nothing to the installation other than restart the computer when it asked me too. Anyhow, AVG is gone and my computer starts up in about half the time it used to!
Goodbye!
