Uninstalling AVG AntiVirus for Mac

Sometimes, the traces of an app might not be removed if we drag the app to trash in order to uninstall.
In this regard, please try following the steps that are mentioned below alternate method in this article.
If AVG Antivirus isn't listed in Application, you may need to navigate to this path & manually delete : /Library/Application Support/AVG Antivirus folder.

I am trying to install AVG Anti Virus for Mac but when i run the app, it is telling me that it is already installed, which it is currently not.  I believe that it may have been previously and uninstalled by simply dragging the app to the trash.    Running MacOS 10.15.1

Can some kind person tell me how  I get rid of any leftover files so that i can reinstall the software?

Thank you for your response.   AVG is not listed anywhere, and indeed there are no AV folders in Library/Application Support/
