Having same problem, links in thread you pointed to are no longer valid or just return here…is there a removal tool?

Thanks
Hello, I have unsuccesfully tried two uninstall options so far for uninstalling AVG Link Scanner for Mac v.9.0 on my MBP running Yosemite 10.10.2:
I have downloaded the older .dmg Link Scanner package for Mac (see image)
I have tried the auto uninstall but it DOES NOT WORK because it requires the installer image to close on the desktop. When this is closed, the entire .dmg installer option goes away, including the uninstall app.
SECOND, I have tried using the manual uninstall instrucitons in the accompanying PDF manual. This requires a number of steps in the terminal window of OSX. The third step in the process states:
3. Prevent "launchd" daemon from automatically invoking the main AVG LinkScanner® services by executing the following commands in a terminal window:
/bin/launchctl remove com.avg.LinkScannerAgent
/bin/launchctl remove com.avg.LoaderAgent........(etc.)
HOWEVER, when I input these prompts in the terminal window, and execute the instructions, nothing happens and the terminal window simply reproduces the initial prompt with my name...
What is a guy to do when he wants to uninstall an old unsupported and outdated piece of software which is no longer compatible with the OS?
Thank you for any help I may be able to obtain.
Best regards,
Steve Labo
