Hi Kris,
You should use activation code just to get your subsctiption to AVG MyAccount, on other you just download (from AVG MyAccount) and install AVG and activate it using AVG MyAccount.

maybe someone could help me i have bought avg protection and its says it for UNLIMITED DEVICES but when i enter activation code on 2nd computer pop ups that its already used on other device plls help
