Unlock my phone when pin code is forgotten

Follow the steps from this link https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Reset-Android-AVG-Anti-Theft-PIN and check if you are able to reset the AVG AntiTheft pin and unlock your device.

I was temporarily putting a friend’s sim in my phone forgetting about the anti theft settings. When it asked for the pin code I panicked and tried entering the wrong pin code a couple of times. The phone is now blocked. I thought that I would have received an email giving me the choice to unlock it again but I haven’t. So can anyone help me to unlock my phone bearing in mind I am not a tech expert! Thank you.
P.S There is no option for ‘forgotten pin Code’.
