Hello, Suzanna.
I regret for any inconvenience this may have caused. Could you provide a screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of the warning message? Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions to upload the screenshot.
You could try to reset AVG app to resolve the issue. To do so, navigate to the location mentioned below.
Device Menu -> Settings -> Apps/Application Management -> AVG Antivirus -> Tap on clear cache and clear data -> Force stop the app once.
How do I resolve my detected risk item? No information given about this threat - just that it needs to be resolved. When I select resolve, nothing happens. I am informed to update my virus database but if I update it I am told it is already updated. What happens if I choose to ignore it? I do not know what I am ignoring .

AVG Guru
Suzanna, this is a followup regarding the virus definitions out of date on AVG for Android. Our developers are aware of this and confirmed an update will be released soon with a fix. Meanwhile, I ensure your device is protected and request you to keep the auto-update of apps is enabled in Google play store. Click on this link https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/113412?hl=en for instructions to enable it if you have not already.
Once the fix is rolled out, you will get a notification and the AVG app will be updated automatically. After updating AVG app, restart your device and check for the status.
Thank you for your understanding!
Having the same problem myself hope they sort it out soon
I am having exactly the same problem as Suzanne is. Do I follow the same steps?
