Hello Andrea,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
You can use the AVG remover tool to completely remove all the traces of AVG from your computer and then install the latest version. And see if that fix the issue. AVG Remover tool: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Thank you
I've had an unstable internet connection for the longest time. While using the internet, my connection will suddenly disappear and my WiFi will stop working. This problem is the worse upon start-up.
My workarounds for this problem have been to reinstall my network driver, changing my network drivers, turning off my WiFi/Disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet (via desktop), and moving my network card onto a different usb port. These temp solutions work for a short amount of time before I lose connection again.
I've had Frontier Techs check the internet connections, which they cannot find any issues. I've had other laptops/desktops/smart phones on the internet which they've not had any problems. I've bought a new network card which is also not changing the problem. Lastly I've scanned my computer with four different virus protection services to check for infections, which they cleaned problems, but since then the internet problem hasn't been fixed.
Now I hear that AVG might be the problem. So I've used the AVG remover to remove the old version and install a new version (I did this multiple times, for some reason the old AVG wasn't wanting to be deleted). I've also tried looking for the AVG Network Filter Driver in the WiFi properties so I can untick it, but I cannot find it.
So any advice from Network Gurus/AVG Gurus would be appreciate. This problem is driving me insane.
