I currently have AVG Internet Security installed on a one of my machines. For the last month it has been automatically updating one of my drivers without asking to a newer version that does not work on my machine.
Is there any way to turn this functionality off or at least tell it leave certain drivers alone. I can’t find any settings related to this, although the upsell region at the bottom of the main window occasionally informs me that I have outdated drivers (there is no option to control this that I can see). This appears to be trying to get me to sign up to Driver Updater.
I do not have Driver Updater installed currently and it is not listed anywhere in Add/Remove Programs.
Note, as an experiment, after this started happening I installed the Driver Updater trial, whitelisted the problem drivers and turned off everything else that I find. The unwanted drivers were still installed in this case.
