Aravindh, there is no access to AVG Internet Security as you described. What appears is a nag to purchase Internet Security. I have never purchased it and do not want it. As mentioned here, I also get nags to remove PUPs even though I don't want those either, and have so indicated in the past, I'm guessing during a free trial of this feature. I understand the nags to buy AVG Internet Security may be hard or impossible to stop. However, I definitely want to stop the nags to remove PUPs. Please tell me how to do that.
Hello David,

I have this same problem. How do I stop AVG from prompting me to remove Firefox add-ons?
Hello Richard,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. Could you please share us a screenshot of the AVG notification interface from where you are facing issues, so that we can check and help you. Please click on the link to show how to create a screenshot : http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV
Also, please tell us the version of AVG you are using in your computer. Thank you.
A while back I was asked on an AVG interface [I don't recall the details] if I wanted to be notified of installed software that AVG considers potentially unsafe. As I recall, I answered Yes but changed it to No. In any case, I continue to receive such notifications often, about Firefox extensions I've installed. So today I've looked for that AVG setting to make sure it's as I want–but I can't find it.
I have no interest in removing Firefox extensions that AVG may consider unsafe. How can I stop the nags?
It's hard for me to believe how much time I've spent on this question with this forum, without yet being able to get an answer. As I've said, I do NOT want to get nagged about these "PUPs," and I certainly do NOT want to scan for them. The setting to which Akash directed me currently reflects my wishes–the option for this scanning is unchecked. AVG against my wishes periodically scans for PUPs and then nags me to delete them.
How can I stop the nags to delete the PUPs?
Hello Richard,
We kindly request you to follow the instructions provided below to enable the PUP scans:
1. Open the AVG Internet Security from Zen.
2. Click on "Menu" at the top right in the AVG Internet Security Window.
3. Select "Settings."
4. Select the General tab, check the "Scan for potentially unwanted applications (PUPs)" and run the scan.
Thank you.
How can I bring up the Zen interface?

If you can't help me, please just say so. I'm not happy about all this time-consuming back-and-forth that accomplshes nothing.
Richard, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
