John, For removal info have you 'googled' remove SimplePCFix?.. 
No AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.
Have a look @ these 2 articles…

AVG would recommend to start with uninstalling all unknown/unused programs and browser addons.

How can I remove (quaranteen?) a pop-up which keeps appearing telling me to click for SimplePCFix?
I'm using Windows7 if that is significant.
