Thank you for the information. You can remove and reinstall Mozilla firefox, this will fix the issue. Follow the below steps to take backup of the bookmarks from Mozilla firefox:

Click the Bookmarks button and select Show All Bookmarks to open the Library window. From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup and choose Export Bookmarks to HTML. In the Export Bookmarks File window that opens, choose a location to save the file, which is named bookmarks.html by default.

Hi I have tried this but when I go to add ons in Firefox I am told that I dont have any, so nothing to remove or disable. Any ideas? Thanks for your time. Derek

How do I get rid of ''Search Encrypt''. I have tried going to Extensions but it does not come up. I have of course scanned using AVG. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi; Yes, thank you that has worked…for now.

Derek

Hi: Yes, I have just done that and it seems normal. here is a copy of the text.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

Would it help if I deleted Firefox and then downloaded it again. I realise I would lose Bookmarks.

Thnak you Derek

Derek,
Please right click on the desktop shortcuts of your web browser, click on Properties, check the 'Target' field. It should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" or  "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". If any other text is appended to this path, please remove it.
