Ok, so last night update installed another version of avg leaving old one on pc. It had some conflicts I got error messages on system tray but not on avg gui. I tried to uninstall, it required avg account sigh, so i do that and went to uninstall from "Uninstall or change program" on windows7, it popped me installation windows with choices installation or custom installation both of them followed by annoying web tune up add that you have to dodge, after that it just started new installation. Is it possible that update has broken it so much that you need to delete previous versions of AVG manually by finding it in folder and then delete it. I don't know but now it runs 2 avg protections old protection gui and new one. I just want to uninstall it at this point. Been using it for over 10 years.
Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compability)
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the C drive and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
Once you are done with the remover tool please try installing the AVG program by clicking the following link:
http://www.avg.com/us-en/download

AVG Clear tool fixed it, removed completely, reinstalled, now running gui & 1 antivirus in process tab.
