So let me rephrase my previous answer, written in the heat of the moments of frustration…

I am not sure how you get that it actually resolved my issue by updating from 5577 to 5645 since I am still at the exact same point that I originally was (with an updated version of AVG that does the same thing as the previous one) where I get multiple messages per day stating it was succesfully updated.

So let me be more specific. Is there a setting somewhere that I couldn't see that I can set to tell AVG to NOT try to update multiple times per day?

I did the repair, but that did not resolve the issue. I am still running version 
2015.0.5645 despite updating succesfully many many times.

I seem to be getting this popup multiple times per day. Checking the event history from AVG (Free), and using today as an example, it happened at 4:44, 6:28, 10:03, 10:08 15:34 and 17:31. 

I am using AVG version 2015.0.5577, on Windows 8.1 64bit.

Any idea?

Well, thanks Alan, but that's not really helping. If I actually don't have the latest version, why is AVG telling me I do, multiple times per day? Even if I do a manual update, it still says I'm up to date. Thanks!

Alan, I'm not sure what part of this you're missing, but we're going in circleshere. My original problem was that I get the "update completed succesfully" message repeatedly through the day. For the sake of completeness, I provided the version running on my computer. Your solution to fix my problem was to tell me that the current version was different than I was running. Then you suggested I do a repair, which I did, only to be back to the exact same point as my original message. I did not do a reinstall of the product, I did a repair so I am not sure how you get that it actually updated from 5577 to 5645, but regardless of that, I am at the exact same point as I originally was.  Do you have an actual solution to my problem or do you only have one liners half answers with no explanation of your intent that actually lead nowhere?

Real, Your 1st posting stated 2015.0.5577. Your previous posting stated 2015.0.5645 so that meant that prog wise you are now using the latest version so the repair must have worked from that aspect.
