"Update has detected running installation. Complete that installation before starting update."  yet again.
Can't unistall AVG as I get the same message so now looking for a remover tool.
Why does this keep happening?​

It is nice to hear that you were able to successfully reinstall your AVG program. I really appreciate your efforts. Kindly let us know if you are now able to successfully 'Update' your AVG program ?

Running Windows 10. Each time I attempt to update I receive the following message "Update has detected running installation. Complete that installation before starting update."  Same message when I tried to uninstall. Tried closing AVG tasks in task manager to no effect.
Used unistallation tool from previous post and half deleted AVG program  and was finally able to re-install AVG 2015.
Spent 2 hours faffing around with this and no time now to do what I originally wanted.​
I see I'm not the only one with this issue - so what's going on?
