We have exactly the same problem since the last AVG update.
We have several internal websites, corresponding forward-lookup zones in the DNS server are set up. These now seem to be ignored.
We had to deactivate the Secure DNS component so it would work again.
I have several Wi-Fi-enable devices on my network. Many of these devices have their own web-based status and control sites. After the latest upgrade of AVG (17.3) all of my Windows 10 systems that have received the update are now blocking many (but not all) of these sites. I know AVG is blocking them because if I disable the Secure Online and Secure DNS components I can get access to them. I have tried adding them to the exception list for the Secure Online component (there does not seem to be a customization option for the Secure DNS component) but I have not had any success. Again all the sites are static private IP addresses.
