We are sorry to hear that. As the issue still persists, after uninstalling AVG. This issue seems to be related with your computer. This should be a coincidence that the issue caused after updating AVG. We suggest you to check if the airplane mode is enabled in your computer. When the airplane mode is enabled, this will cut off all the network connection from your computer. So in this case, that must be causing the problem. Please check if your computer and disable airplane mode.

My avg updated itself earlier and restarted my computer. Following this I cannot detect any wireless networks on my computer, although they are available as I'm using the network on my phone to write this! I have uninstalled avg to try to connect but still nothing. My connection was perfectly fine this morning.

Having read hundreds of similar problems from other people on many different support sites related to your software, it is most definitely a problem with AVG!!
You seem to be happy passing the blame off to someone else rather than trying to help people who have downloaded your product. I will not be using AVG again through the lack of support provided!
you should look into the many documented issues reported about your software.
Luckily enough I was able to perform a system restore to a point prior to YOUR software update and funnily enough my laptop now works fine again… clearly an issue with AVG.
