message under Computer says 'Update Required' clicking on Fix Now starts an update process and 'successful' message is received. However despite laptop restart the Update Required message remains as well as the You Are Not Fully Protected message. Any idea how to solve? thanks
OK, uninstalled and installed free version but it will not accept my activation code which i got from you in May 2018 - (GMS number removed)

The number that you have mentioned is not the license for your Internet Security.
It is actually the code for your AVG TuneUp - Unlimited Devices which shouldn't be used for activation. For Unlimited Devices subscription, activation is by entering AVG my account credentials.
For your Internet security activation, you have a license number.
We have sent it through email now. Open AVG Antivirus free interface. Click on "My AVG–>My Subscriptions".
If you see the email address, click on "Log Out" and if "remove license" option appears, click on that too.
Finally, click on "enter license" and go ahead with the activation using the license provided via email.
