Update running nonstop, then fails

After an update 4 days ago, received the message: ""Update failed, you are not protected; your computer might be at risk.. AVG inernet security 2015 out of date, missing bin file"". Tried click "fix", click "update", nothing works. Updates have now been continually running nonstop, then fail at 36% and start over! Day after day! what is going on? I'm PAID through April 2016, so why am i "out of date?".  I have AVG Internet Security 2015

Yes in that case you have to reinstall AVG. But remember you have to use AVG Remover Tool to uninstall AVG. Download AVG Removal tool from http://www.avg.com/utilities.Select correct version 32 or 64 bit depending on your system. After the process completes your PC will be restarted or you will be prompted to restart.

Then download AVG setup file from http://www.avg.com/download. Select your product and download the file. Let us know in case of any trouble. Thank you.

Thank you Subhadeep!   I have tried twice yesterday and again this morning to 1) delete temporary update files, and 2) initialize the "repair AVG".   Neither solution worked…  problem remains.  Shall I now uninstall and reinstall?  I'm getting really nervous about this problem
