This is the reason you can find two programs listed that are "AVG" which is the Zen interface and "AVG Protection" which is the AVG security program on the program list.

I have AVG Protection free installed on my PC, and now it wont update because of some strange error. I can not uninstall it to reinstall it or try to repair it because i get the same error message that I have another running application. I use the task manager to close any running applications- same result. Probably my fault, I apparently have two AVG's installed, AVG and AVG Protection for some reason. I have been using AVG since about 2010 on my PC, two laptops, two tablets and android phone. Never had a problem like this. How do I uninstall or fix the programs?
I was able to download the uninstaller, and have AVG totally uninstall now. Do you think it's safe 2 try to install it again?
