I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Does the error message say 'Unknown error'? If it is, it was a bug which has been fixed now. Please try to update AVG now and let us know if the issue persist.
I've been a user (Paid & unpaid) of AVG for years now but this latest problem is getting on my nerves. It may actually be time to ditch AVG for something else.
I keep getting a pop-up saying virus definitions are out of date and yet when I try to install them I keep getting an error. I've tried repairing AVG but it fails and gives me an error. I thought I'd uninstall it and reinstall but it won't even let me do that. I ended up just installing again without uninstalling but still I get an error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Failing that then I'm off to look for something else.
