Updated AVG now it won't run

Yes, I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Internet Security 2017. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version. Please follow the instruction ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ) to run AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool. After the computer reboot, please follow the instruction (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security) to download/install/activate AVG Internet Security.

I apologize to hear about that. I would suggest you to repair AVG and check if that resolve the issue. To repair AVG, please follow the steps provided below.

1. Navigate to this location "C:\Programfiles(x86)\AVG\Setup\avgsetupx" on your PC.
2. Double click on the file to start the installation setup.
3. Click Repair and follow the prompts on your PC.
4. Restart your PC after the repair setup is finished.

Hi All

I have updated my AVG and did the restart it recommended. Now it will not open/run. This is the error I receive...

avgui.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point
?PreCreateWithMsgLoop@SysTrayIcon@systray@common_ui@asw@@QAE_NPBUS_InitDescriptor@234@HAA_N@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library c:\Program Files (x86\AVG\Antivirus\AVGUI.exe.

I appreciate your efforts and patience so far in trying to fix the issue. 
I have sent you an email, please follow the email instructions to get in touch with the remote support. They will analyze the issue with AVG activation and also with your Myaccount issue and fix it with free of cost.

If you are unable to see the products in Myaccount, they will take a screenshot of that page from your PC and escalate it to the concern team to fix it.

Thanks.  All uninstalled.  To reinstall the only options were 1) free Trial or 2) Buy.  So we took option 1, then accessed our account - How can we get the full version using our key (the one sent from your colleague yesterday)?

Thanks, but still no good.  Following the instructions…
1) "You are fully protected"; not "protection is disabled" per instructions.
2) About then Subscriptions then gives I'm using a trial version gives "This PC is logged into the fopllowing account:" then my account name.  With options to LogOut, Manage Subscriptions & Renew Subscrption.  Whereas the instructions suggest it should say the full version, quoting a license number etc.
3) If I click Manage Subscriptions, the myaccount says no subscriptions
a) The "please click here" just gives me various other articles - I don't know whether any would be relevant to me.
b) Clicking AVG Internet Security just goes down the buy route again.
So what do I do?  The license number get associated with my account?
