Updated subscription but states expired

Hi there,
yesterday i completed my yearly subscription but when i log in it states my subscription has expired.
I did have a previous email address but havent been able to access it for years. On some sites it wont let me change the email address as a primary address.
I wanted to re-scan my laptop but AVG wont let me as i 'nned to renew my subscription'
Any help would be great
