The posting provides directions for excluding a file from AVG.  It does not tell me how to stop AVG from taking my computer offline, disconnecting from wifi because AVG doesn't see the need for me to be connected all the time.  That is none of AVG's concern.  I can't find the setting to change it, the gree and my previous paid programs haven't tampered with anything else.  This is completely unacceptable.  And I bought a two year subscription for unlimited devices.

Liz, is AVG completely blocking the internet connection or in a particular situations?

I am beyond frustrated.  This program asked if I wanted an essential program to access the ';net, I said "yes" and the program blocked it.  I have multipe programs that need access and I don't need AVG denying those.  What piece shall I uninstall?  Actually, I stopped using Norton years ago for the very same reason.  Not fixable?  Delete AVG all together?
