Upgrade to new version/subscription- Error 0xe001041a

We regret for the inconvenience caused. Upon checking with your account we can see that you have active product of AVG Internet Security for unlimited devices. Since you are experiencing issue with installation, we would request you to remove previously installed program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Internet Security.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:

2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hello - I have purchased a new subscription today for AVG Internet Security (downloaded the file "AVG_Protection_821") and on the final installation (after downloading virus definitions) I am getting the error 0xe001041a and a prompt to contact you . I've tried it twice with a reboot in between and get the same error.
My PC is running Windows 10 - upgraded fairly recently from Windows 7. I was previously running AVG Anti-virus 2015 and the subscription ran out over the Xmas break. The 2015 warnings were coming up even when upgrading to the new version (hence the reboot - then I tried again with the same error). Can you advise please? 

 

3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.
