Today I upgraded to AVG Internet Security from AVG Free. Did the installation and everything looked fine. Now I keep getting a pop up asking me to do a restart for AVG Free. What do I do? So far I have just closed the window, but when I close down my PC and then I start it again it will probably put me back to AVG Free. HELP!

Yes, it is recommended to uninstall the older version before installing the new version.

Yes I did and everything seemed fine until the free version screen came up asking me to restart. Since writing this post I have deleted the avg free program which was the only one showing in my program apps and then re-installed internet security version. Went through the log in again and so far I have not seen the free program come up and ask me to restart. Fingers crossed it will not do that again. Perhaps the key is to uninstall any other version of avg before installing the new version. We shall see. Thanks for getting back to me.
