Hi John,
We would like to inform you that AVG Anti-Virus Free is to protect your computer from Malware and Viruses. It will not change or do anything with the Video cards and Drivers. Could you please be more specific on your issue, so that we can help you if it is related to AVG.
Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance with AVG. Thank you.
I am using AVG Free (I have no money) on my computer. I just went through a day where my video card was updated and my computer reacted like when 1607 was originally installed (hence why it is not on my computer). Do I need to do anything different with AVG Free (1606 was the extension on the file) when I update windows 10 to 1607?

I did have that before I ran the AVG removal tool. Then everything sped up and my computer is working like normal. I am missing the scheduled scans but I can get by that. I don't have the internet security and the PC Tune up.
When I had the AVG Zen, I installed Windows 10 1607 and it crashed many times. I have held off installing it again because of that. Now that I saw my video card do the same thing, I think I can install 1607 and have it work.
Hello John,
We understand your concern. The latest version of Windows 10 will work fine with the latest version of AVG. You can now download and install the latest version and check if everything works fine.
Thank you
I updated my video driver. I had AVG Zen on my computer until this happened. I tried to stop the computer and it kept running. I finally turned off the computer using the power button. Then I turned it on and it was like when I first updated to windows 10 1607. I couldn't get to the lock screen. I did that several times then I got in. I uninstalled my video driver and reinstalled it. That got me the functionality back. The problem still persisted. I remember that AVG had a problem with 1607 so I uninstalled it. Then I reinstalled AVG Free and everything is now working.
My question is that since I am using what I downloaded off your site (AVG_Protection_Free_1606) will I run into this problem of my computer not getting to the lock screen and will I have to uninstall and reinstall your antivirus again?
