URL Scam warnings

Hi Susan,

Thank you for contacting AVG Community.
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
Upon checking our records, we see that you've reported a false positive earlier for seriesonline.gg & it was fixed.
As we're uncertain about the exact warning that you receive now or the website that is being blocked, please share us the screenshot of the threat notification that you receive from AVG, after clicking on see details in it.

Im consistently receiving warnings about scam websites. Usually they come along with a popup and I simply close the popup and continue in my way. They are coming with such frequency Im considering removing AVG from my computer as Im concerned they may be a marketing ploy to upgrade my protection. I have provided a URL which generates this warning to AVG before and there was no problem found with the website. Is there a way I can turn off these types of warnings

Hello Susan,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community.
I apologize for the onconvenience caused. They are specialized team of AVG Threat Labs, a group of analysts they team will analyze the website and if found harmless, they'll whitelist it right away for you.As we have checked the screenshot it's a campaign advertisment pop up offering you AVG Secure VPN. The campaign advertisment which you see is always is not accurate which is being advertised.

Thank you for understanding.

Well Ive captured the entire laptop screen and this warning came up when I was on a competely secure site. It is my local photography competition page so I know it is a bogus warning. Sorry I forgot to click on the "see details". I didnt read this thread until Id already closed the tab. The warnings come with both firefox and chrome and the sites are generally randomUser-added image

I cant even understand your answer - you are not answering my questions. You keep thanking me and apologising for inconvenience but do nothing about it and Im sick of having to keep logging on with no action being taken on the screenshots… The statement "The campaign advertisment which you see is always is not accurate which is being advertised." makes absolutely no sense. Has your team analysed the screenshots I sent or not ?  Please have someone else look at my case. The popup offering Secure VPN is not accurate ??? - then why on earth would I accept it.  Please answer my question - WHY DID AVG SEND ASCAM WARNING FROM THE PHOTOCLUB LOGON WEBSITE WHEN I HAD NOT CLICKED ON ANYTHING ??? I WASNT TRYING TO NAVIGATE TO ANOTHER WEBSITE SO WHY DID AVG SAY IT HAD ABORTED THE CONNECTION BECAUSE IT WAS INSECURE ??? No more apologies - explain what is going on with this software. It used to be so good and seems to have changed in the last couple of years - almost as though someone purchased the company and is not doing a very good job.

what do you mean by full screen shot ?

We're sorry for any inconvenience caused, Susan.

However, to check which AVG component made the detection and the detection path, we request you to click on "See Details" on the threat pop-up and share us the screenshot again.
Also, are you receiving these threat pop-ups while trying to access a particular website using a certain browser or do they appear at random?
Awaiting your response.

Susan, please accept our sincere apologies. The experience you shared, is not the intended experience we wanted for you to have had.

To further investiagate your concern, we've escalated your case to our higher level of support. They'll look into your concerns and contact you as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, your patience is very much appreciated.
Thank you for understanding in advance!

Please see the attached file - this one often pops up but when I try to go to the site it is not recognised. These popups are being generated too frequently to be authentic. Ive looked up a Scam URL warning site which says this site could be a risk as the owner is hidden and a few other reasons. Perhaps if I find out what country is generating them I could try and block the country. I dont know if this is possible
