Usb device connected popup (without a usb device in)

Hi…
My pc was hacked a few weeks ago,i had no choice but to re-partition and re-format the entire thing.
every 10-20 minutes i get a pop up saying theres a new usb device plugged in (sometimes generic sometimes with a weird name) when i look at my explorer, no drive is there.
this happens even if my pc is offline. i reinstallled and re-registered avg but still i get those popups.
any help?
