Use VLC player and chromecast

I have AVG Internet Security installed.
I am trying to get avg to be able to run my VLC movies to chromecast on my TV.  It blocks it right now.
What do I need to do to fix this please?

We request you to change few settings in AVG Internet Security and check the status.
Open AVG Internet Security program window. Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Full Protection".
Tick the box that says "Internet connection sharing mode".
Refer this article and follow the steps as mentioned under "Define Network Profiles", change the profile to Private.
Refer this article and enable all the options available on system rules.
Check the status with internet and keep us posted.
