I am wondering if I am getting a large number of VBS:Malware-gen false positives.

I was having issues with AVG Free 2016, so I uninstalled it (with the remove avg utility) then installed AVG Free 2017. First scan after installing 2017, I get 433 hits for VBS:Malware-gen.

I am seeing that AVAST! users are also having this issue and also read that AVG recently merged with AVAST! Is this related to the AVAST! issue? Are AVG's definitions also having VBS:Malware-gen false positive issues?
