Verizon switched to AOL mail, now I can't get it to open in Outlook 2007

Followed the steps on | AVG, but when I check settings, it won't load.

I have AVG Internet Security. I diabled the email protection and tried setting Outlook for direct access and got it to work; however downloaded mail only opens in the AOL mail webpage, not in outlook. The Send/Receive task window says it is synchronizing subscribed folders

Okay, so when you open Outlook does it work fine?
Have you checked the email configuration settings on Outlook?

It doesn't appear to ever make it to Outlook. It only appears in the AOL web page.

Thank you for disabling AVG and checking it. Is your email address have AOL as its domain?
