Could you mention the operating system of your PC in which you experience the slowness?
My AVG is taking up so much CPU going back and forth to the web that I can't even type. When it is running it can take over 90% of the CPU and my keyboard either freezes or has a serious delay and repeats letters. And, AVG keeps asking for web access over and over and over again. I'm seconds away from canceling. I've done all the updates, kept up to date on scans, and cleaned off the system – this is AVG pure and simple. What to do?
