I am having same problem.  Removing the TrustedInstaller from vault does not work.  Here is what I see:
- The WindowsUpdate agent was taken over. It is set to automatic - which I did not set up.
- Something is trying to force me to install Cisco VPN client (64); I already have the 32 bit version.
- A Homegroup icon appears on my desktop trying to entice me to create homegroup (which I already had).
- Printer that was connected via USB to desktop - it no longer works, drivers were removed, not by me. Tried to reinstall them (HP photosmart 2610), but they are never found by the printer device. The Cisco problem appears.
- I believe that the explorer.exe (in c:\windows) was replaced as it had the TrustedInstaller as owner; program version: 6.1.7.601.23537. It was the process that was requesting that I install Cisco VPN cient.
- A suspected windows update agent: C:\Windows\System32\wuaueng.dll also has TrustedIstaller as owner; has product version: 7.6.7601.23453 modified 5/13/2013
I have found some clues on how to resolve this at:https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/unknown-credential-virtualappdidlogical/40467173-a75a-44b2-8617-5aa7a0479925 and Update Windows Update Agent to latest version - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn   but I     still have not resolved my problem.

I have a question about this same problem.  In my credential list I also have a strange name that is really not a name but a combination of letters as well as dots for a password.  Removing it does no good, as it returns.  Some of the info I have looked at says that this is installed by another computer.  Or could be I installed new software, which I have.  My system is connected to Wifi and my son has an ipad also connected.  I feel like it must be a virus or is it???  Please help.  Thank you.  JoJo

Norman, could you please let me know what is the method you are following to remove it?

I feel that you do not understand my situation. That VIRTUALAPP/DIDLOGICAL is a Virus/Malware that has taken over control of my computer as Administrator. When I remove it from Credential Manager it just replicates itself automatically and I am still denied access because I do not have the hidden password. I did not install this it installed itself and as a result I can no longer use my computer. I have paid you for two years of your subscription, the first year end on May 24/15. I want to cancel my subscription for the 2016 period and request a refund of that amount paid.

How can I get rid of this "virtualapp/didlogical"? It presently has control of my PC (Windows 7). When deleted it automatically replicates itself and is blocking any removal efforts by requiring me to provide an Administrator password. When I try to do that I can see that it has taken over the Administrative function. I see that others claim it is associated with Windows Live (maybe Messenger) but it is a problem in that I cannot gain access to my computer.
