Hello James.
We did receive the screenshots, thank you. We confirm that it is an older version of AVG that you are using from the user interface. We'd request to uninstall the current version along with AVG Zen.
Then, refer to steps in this link to download and install latest version of AVG Internet Security. You can use the same license number to activate the newer version.

Hi Joseph & AVG,

I am also having the same issue. Zen home screen states that updates are required. Tapping the fix now button performs the updates and confirms that I am fully up to date but the home screen still states that updates are required.

I am protected or not? Paid for Pro version.

Any assistance gratefully recieved.

James, it could be possible that you are using an older version of AVG for which virus definitions are no longer updated. Please provide a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of AVG dashboard showing the error to assist you further. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
