Virus definition updates

Hello, Rosa.

I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. It is always recommended to install latest virus definitions to keep your PC protected from latest threats and virus. It could be possible that the latest updates have failed to install completely or the connection with the update server was interrupted. I would suggest you to uninstall the current version and re install AVG program to resolve the issue.

Hello, Avinash
Thank you for your comprehensive answer. I'm afraid after having followed your instructions my AVG overview still keeps saying that my software version is 2 months out of date. As you can imagine I am very concerned since this product has only been up to date up to December (I bought it in November 2017). I don't know what to do any more! I wish it worked as well as my otrher AVG on my laptop. Please, can you help me once more? I honestly feel I have wasted my money this time on this product!
Many thanks for your advice!

Hello, team!
I have 2 AVG Internet Security products; one is installed on my laptop and is working well. However, the other one installed on my PC (Windows XP) has been causing me problems. I have had this product installed before and I never had any problem. This product was installed easily on 12th November 2017 when the program was released. There was no problem then until December 2017. This is my query: Why do I get a red warning on the overview, "AVG is 2 months out of date", when below each component it says "protected". Also, when I try to update it, it says "downloading_unknown error". However, it also says "latest virus definition update received". Hence, is my PC protected or not? On the subscription section it does say: "This PC is protected with AVG's best security". How can it be when the program release dates from November 2017? I would like to thank you in advance for your support on this matter.
