Virus definitions are outdated

@ Alok you cannot repair as its stuck in in thinking setup is already running so what next please…?

Soren,

Sorry for the difficulties, mostly this out of date issue will occur only when the update files gets corrupted and we need to reinstall AVG Internet Security completely to resolve it.

Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Uninstall -> uninstall AVG Internet Security and restart your device. Refer this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security to reinstall your AVG Internet Security and activate it using your license number.

We are here if you need further help.

Now I seem to be having the exact same problem. I keep getting the same recurrig message: "Last Encountered error: Setup is already running".

When I try to update my virus definition with AVG Internet Security I am prompted with this error message:
"Last Encountered error: Setup is already running". Any ideas....
Hi there,
Thanks for that. I have tried it, but the application responds with a "Installation failed" reply.

Hello Jon,
We will help you sort this out. May I know if you have performed AVG repair?
If not, I request you to repair AVG Protection (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG) and reboot your computer once. After reboot, please check if your AVG program is working fine.
Regards,
Alok.
