Since the last update a lot of AVG user are concerned by the same "JS:Nimda-B" threat warning. I scanned my Mac with an alternative virus scanner. There was no hit. I think this is a AVG problems. Please fix.
I am running AVG antivirus (free download). On a scan today 4 threats were detected, all being the same, namely JS NIMDA-B(Trj) which was then followed with a series of letters and numbers. For some reason these cannot be deleted or even quarantined. A reassuring message comes up saying that my computer is still protected. Can anyone explain this ambiguous situation? is there any way they can be deleted and would buying the AVG antivirus enable this. I did telephone customer services and they tried to remotely connect to my computer and I even downloaded Citrix Online Launcher only to be told that a remote connection could not be made to a MAC (MacBook Air). Is this not strange? I am an elder citizen with little technical expertise.

Hi John,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. Please take a picture of the scan issue using your Phone and you can share it here. Could you please tell us which MAC OS version you are using? so that we can help you and provide suggestion about the threats. Thanks for your understanding.
My Mac OS is Sierra version 10.12.3. See above regarding a screenshot. I have tried everything but to no avail. I wonder if it is necessary given you ahave already dealt with the same issue as described above, and see also below with Camilla S.
I have not been able to take a screenshot and cannot do without running the scan again However, I am puzzled by your request as this issue has been raised recently. See the question raised by bradley scott on 20 March 2017. There are repeated attempts to answer the question by Kishore (AVg Tecnologies) Alan Binch|AVG Guru, and youself. In response to your request to send a screenshot, bradley scott sent one and it is exactly the same as any I would send if I could do it. Again two of the same viruses are shown in the screenshot given by Arthur Leaf on 21 March so I do not know how any screenshot I could give, if I could, would progress matters. I followed the advice you gave bradley scott by uninstalling AVG and then reinstalling it but unlike bradley that has not helped.
I am perplexed and a little disappointed that no attempt has been made to answer the concerns expressed by Cathy Nash who asks "Is my computer at risk? I would like to ask the same question - Is my computer at risk?
Please remember that I am technically challenged and simplicity in instructions would be appreciated
