Dear Support

I put the mentioned .exe in quarantaine but when I try to restore it, I get the message that the restore failed because the access to the map was denied. I tried to run AVG as administrator but this does not help. I also tried to change the access permission but this is also impossible. How can I restore this file? Can you help me please?

AVG just detected:
"Virus found Win32/Herz.B
Object name: c:\Windows\WinSxS\wow64_microsoft-windows-xpsearchviewer_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.14393.0_none_4ce4694d994ae7f0\xpsrchvw.exe"

Says the threat severity is high and that it was created yesterday, I believe my system did a windows update yesterday but I dont think I did anything weird with my computer lately, didnt visit any weird sites or open any emails or so. I learned nothing from googling around except that apparently the WinSxS folder is very important for windows to work so Im very hesitant to allow AVG to do anything with the file. Feels like its a false alarm but Ive really no idea what the file even is in the first place, Im just suspecting its a harmless windows file. Im on windows 10

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Hello Yannes,
We have checked with the screenshot you provided here.
It is not recommended to delete the system related files permanently.
Have you tried to remove the threat or move to quarantine?
Thank you.

Dear Abirami

I have this problem with Windows 10. Although I do not know what the now missing .exe is doing or is needed for, but I would like to put it back in place as soon as possible. I am rather surprised that AVG was able to move the file but is not able to put it back.
Hope you have the solution to this. Thank you
