Virus identified in time-machine copy, AVG can't resolve it

Hello Hans,
Thank you for contacting AVG community.
May I know what happens when you try to resolve the issue? Does a specific error message appear when you encounter this issue?
If so for a better understanding, please send us a screenshot of the situation you are facing. To do so, you can follow the instructions by clicking on the link:  (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=avg-create-screenshot&q=screenshot&supportType=home .

Thank you for understanding in advance!

Running a scan of an external hard drive with a time-machine copies AVG identifies Bundler GQ in a backup file, but it doesn't succeed in solving the problem. What to do?

Thank you for updating the status, Hans.

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused. This isn't the usual behaviour of AVG Internet Security.
Please keep monitoring the situation and if the issue resurfaces, write back to us before manually deleting the file. We'll then look into the cause of this issue and help you resolve it.
Thank you for understanding in advance!

Thanks for the swift reply Syed, in the meantime I solved it myself by tracing the corrupt file in time-machine and then simply delete it from there. Still a bit strange that AVG isn't able to (or so it appears)  quarantaine ('solve') a corrupt file when it's located in backups in a time-machine copy on an external hard disk…
