We look forward to your response about the status after reinstalling the latest version of AVG.
On my laptop (windows 10) I get a virus Luhe.Cryptic,E warning involving the module_lifetime.dll program. I cannot remove, rename or overwrite the program in spite of my administrator user rights. It is also not possible to have AVG remove the virus, because after a restart the virus is reported again . Any suggestions how to resolve the problem.

Could you share us the screenshot of the threat message?
Make sure the 'See Details' is clicked before capturing the screenshot.
I was able to fix the issue by uninstalling all versions of AVG, then running the AVG cleanup tool in safemode and then install the latest version of the software, problem is most likely caused by old installations somehow still being active? I have scanned the computer using MalwareBytes and other AV programs and now I am scanning with the latest version of AVG.

Upon checking it, we see that an older version of AVG is installed on your computer. The old version will not obtain the latest patches & it results in incorrect detections. In this regard, we'd suggest you to follow the steps in the email that has been sent to you to uninstall the older version & install the latest version.

We are getting this same error message. I have installed the program and reinstalled, still did the same thing, so I removed the program and when I did, I noticed there was still an earlier version of AVG on the computer. I have removed that version and ma now going to try adding the latest version to see if it works. If you know a solution that you could post or share it would be helpful, as I think somehow there is a false positive going on with that module.
I will try to report back if I get it fixed.
