Hello Roy,
Let's have a look into this together.
Is this pop-up occur randomly or it appear when you do a particular task?
Could you please take a screenshot of the error message to have a better understanding and assist further?

I am receiving a pop-up with the heading SmartAudio3.exe - Bad Image. There follows the message
C:\windows\System32\MSVCP120_CLR0400.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. At the same time as this began appearing, various functions of my Windows 10 OS stopped responding. I have read that this is a fake and has been transported by a virus. Can anyone advise how to remove it. I have AVG Ultimate installed.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
This does not look like a virus but a corrupted Windows OS file. Do you receive this message randomly or when you try to install or update any software? Did you make any changes on your PC like installing or uninstalling an application or updating Windows around the time that this issue has started?
