So I'm totally cool with how well the anti virus protection works, but what I'm curious about is why when ever I end up having virus/malware/spyware etc. removed I lose functionality to websites I often use that had nothing to do with where I know I picked up the virus from? an example: I had a couple viruses and trojans removed that I picked up from a crap website that has a pop up when ever you click on a link and all of a sudden I wouldn't be able to view most of the content on the website for Rockstar games, even though the crap website had nothing to do with that domain or was even visited during that session. Its kind of like if I fixed the outlet I plug my Television in and then discovering that only part of my refrigerator was working. Of course I'm able to get the functionality of the websites back after I restore my computer back to factory condition and reinstall everything, but it gets ridicules after a while.
The product is the latest and greatest version of AVG AntiVirus Free for Windows Vista. I'll invest in Pro after I get a more up to date computer. Alright then, I'll let you know when the issue comes up again. I did a system restore about a week ago so everythings running smooth for now. I didn't even think of the browser add-ons, I'll have to pay more attention to those from now on. Thank You
